Biography:
James
Morgan began his interest in photography as a hobbyist when
he was a youngster. He learned all the basics,
including developing black and white film, and participating
in school photography clubs and projects.
Eventually
developing “an eye” good enough to land paying jobs in
the field, Morgan learned at the pro level under Hal Berg,
nationally known television producer and director.
In that position, 16 mm film projects up to ½
hour in length became part of his skill set, shooting the
film and editing it as well.
Career
changes led to moving out of the business of photography,
but it was always a part of life. Then
in the late 1980’s Morgan opened an art gallery in the
Pocono Mountains . While the focus of the gallery
isn’t photography, the many compelling scenes in the area
had to be captured by Morgan’s lens. Naturally there
are always a couple of slots available for the best of his
work among the great local painter’s shown in the gallery.
